Within the framework of the world AIDS Day, the Red Crescent of Azerbaijan held a round table with the participation of the Ministry of Health, Republican AIDS centers, students and teachers of universities, as well as volunteers and staff of the Red Crescent Society of Azerbaijan.  

In occasion of the World AIDS Day 2018, in 18 regions of Italy volunteers and workers of the Italian Red Cross were in streets, squares, nightlife places, but also in prisons and sex work areas, to offer everyone the possibility to have a free testing for HIV and Hepatitis C.

“Meet Test & Treat”, Croce Rossa Italiana – Italian Red Cross and Fondazione Villa Maraini campaign for quick Hepatitis C and HIV test for vulnerable people, will be launched for the first time at national level on the World AIDS Day 2018, with the aim to make 8,000 quick test in one month. 

This year’s theme for World AIDS Day, which will be marking its 30th anniversary on 1 December, will be “Know your status”.Join us this World AIDS Day in raising awareness about the importance of knowing one’s status and calling for the removal of all barriers to accessing HIV testing.  

According to UNAIDS statistics, almost 80% of the 36.9 million people living with HIV live in only 20 countries.What countries are these?The list includes: China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, USA, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Thailand, Indonesia, Ethiopia and other African countries.

President of ERNA addressed to the members of ERNA Network – National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies-on the occasion of the Upcoming 33rd International Conference of the RC/RC.

ERNA member – the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan became a grantee of the program STOP TB Partnership TB REACH Wave 6. It’s important to note that Kyrgyzstan Red Crescent is the only from the Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, and the only one in the European region. Congratulations!!  

On the World Hepatitis Day, 28th of July, Massimo Barra launched the new social campaign “Evadere dalla C” (Escape from C) proposing to the Italian Minister of Health and Minister of Justice to eradicate Hepatitis C from prison.

Today, the XXII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2018) started in Amsterdam. The Conference will last until July 27, and will bring together about 18,000 participants from around the world.
