Since 1997, ERNA has provided regular information and technical support to European National Societies that consider these infectious diseases as a priority of their action in the field of public health and assistance to vulnerable groups such as migrants, sex workers, IDUs, prisoners, hard-to reach population.  

We would like to bring to your attention about the humanitarian initiative launched by the RCRC at the United Nations to respond to the increasing substance abuse problem worldwide: the Rome Consensus 2.0 – towards a humanitarian drug policy. Addressing substance abuse disorders with a humanitarian approach in this time of international crisis for the COVID-19 is vital for hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people’s lives.

World TB Day, falling on March 24th each year, is designed to build public awareness that tuberculosis today remains an epidemic in much of the world, causing the deaths of nearly one-and-a-half million people each year, mostly in developing countries.

Български младежки Червен кръст / Bulgarian Red Cross Youth traditionally celebrated February 14th – St. Valentine’s Day across the country as part of the National NO AIDS Campaign. Volunteer initiative has always been encouraged over the years in the implementation of diverse, interesting and useful initiatives for young people.

World TB Day 2019 Georgia Red Cross Society (GRCS) organized events devoted to the World TB Day 2019 at central and local levels. To raise public awareness and knowledge on TB and decrease stigma and discrimination, informational-educational seminars and campaigns in public places were organized by the GRCS staff and leader volunteers.
